This is a completely digital project-based language learning activity that can be paired with a classic book about an Arctic train. It contains moveable pieces to create a digital GINGERBREAD TRAIN! This product targets: - Planning and Discussion: Students move pieces that they need to create their digital gingerbread trains into a bag and respond to three discussion questions. - Sequencing (Future Tense): Students tell what they WILL do to create their digital gingerbread trains, using words: first, then, next, last. - The Project: Build a Gingerbread Train: The students move all the pieces around to build a digital gingerbread train from scratch. - Sequencing & Retell (Past Tense): Students tell what they did to create their trains. - Describing: Students complete web diagrams to describe different parts of the gingerbread train as well as the Arctic Train. - Comparing & Contrasting: Students complete Venn Diagrams to state similarities and differences between the Arctic Train and the gingerbread train as well as between different parts of the gingerbread train. - Synonyms & Antonyms: Students match synonyms and antonyms appropriately then create a new sentence with the synonym or antonym.
