Description: This deck contains 34 mixed CVC word cards. The vowel letters are moveable so that they can be dragged into the empty spaces to finish the three-letter words which are missing the middle letter/sound. How to play: Each word is missing its middle letter – the vowel. In addition, each three-letter word grid has a matching picture. First, drag the correct vowel to the middle of the three-letter word and then sound out each letter and say the word. Finally, tap/click the picture that matches it. Press the 'Submit' button to check your answer. If you have completed the grid correctly and select the matching picture, you will hear the bell sound and see green circles. The deck will automatically move on to the next card. If you are incorrect you will see a red circle and hear 'whoops'. You can have as many goes as you like to fill in the missing vowel and tap/click the correct matching picture. Learning objective: Use phonological awareness to complete decodable CVC words with matching pictures.
