Description
This Boom deck was created with to help high school students learn about the carbon cycle. It includes the natural carbon cycle as well as the anthropogenic causes of increased greenhouse gas emissions. Natural topics included are: volcanoes, forest fires, ocean diffusion, limestone production, sedimentation, fossil fuel formation, photosynthesis, biosequestration, and decomposition (aerobic and anaerobic). Manmade issues include ocean acidification, deforestation, fossil fuel extraction, tilling, cattle farming, and waste disposal.
