Description: This 30 card boom card deck reviews important 3rd/4th grade area content before introducing students to volume. In this boom card deck, students compare area to volume, identifying which units, formula, images go to each. They then build essential vocabulary with a vocabulary card. They review finding basic area with the area formula AND finding the area of two irregular figures (this is something many of my 5th graders struggle with and is a 3rd grade standard). They will then solve volume using unit cubes. Lastly, they will be asked to apply their knowledge to some higher order thinking questions about volume.
