Description: After reading the book, "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" use this interactive deck to target the following speech and language skills: -receptive and expressive vocabulary -descriptive language -WH-questions -increasing MLU -story retell First, your child will receptively identify the target vocabulary words from a field of 3 provided descriptive clues (e.g., "What is big, furry, and white and lives in the Arctic?"). For younger children you can simply state the target vocabulary word, "Show me the polar bear, lion, hippopotamus, etc." The second half of the deck targets story retell and increasing MLU by having your child tell what animals we hear in the story! Model and encourage your child to produce four-word sentences by clicking on each picture/word in the sentence strip to help retell the story (e.g., "I hear a lion"). You can also encourage them to describe the animals on each card to increase sentence length.
