This click-to-answer deck is very personal to me. A pediatric client of mine who loved dinosaurs passed away unexpectedly. James, my friend, this deck is for you. I hope it's "high one" worthy! Developed as a companion deck for the book, I Am A Dinosaur, this deck focuses on helping learners determine the difference between herbivores and carnivores by examining the heads and teeth of different dinosaurs - just like a paleontologist would do in the field. Vocabulary introduced includes: extinct, fossil, paleontologist, herbivore, carnivore. Comparing and contrasting is worked into the deck, including giving learners the opportunity to show how they know what different dinosaurs ate. I pair this deck with the book and with dinosaur toys. This deck aligns with the following CCSS (CA notation used): SL 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.3 LS K.5 a-d, 1.5 a-d, 2.5 a, b RST 6-12.10
