Description
This is a pack of 46 Boom cards providing a variety time estimation practice! Time management is an essential executive functioning skill. Without being able to estimate time, children are likely to find themselves in situations where they have not given themselves enough time to complete a task (e.g. getting ready for school, finishing an assignment by a deadline, etc). This can lead to frustration (for parents, teachers and the students themselves), stress and failure to succeed in tasks at school and home. Improving time estimation skills can help students lower their stress, work more efficiently, plan appropriately for future tasks/events and focus. Time management is required for young and older students alike, and will become increasingly important as children become older and their responsibilities increase. **NOT AGE SPECIFIC. I use these cards with whomever I feel needs them. The scenarios in these cards are not age specific. They will not make older students feel like they're doing "kiddie work", yet they are still familiar situations for younger students, too. Regular education teachers, special education teachers, SLPs, or other support professionals could all benefit from using these task cards with their students.
