The objective of this activity is to teach students the concept of habitats. The characteristics of each habitat are introduced focusing on fauna. The activity targets the following habitats: desert, forest, Arctic and ocean. First, the concept of habitat is introduced (1 slide). Second, the desert is characterized by its features, weather, and fauna (2 slides). The student will be asked to identify animals that live in the desert (2 slides). Third, the characteristics of the forest and its fauna are shown (4 slides). Fourth, the Arctic is presented (4 slides). Fifth, the ocean and its fauna are shown (4 slides). Last, the student will sort four animals into their respective habitats (2 slides). The activity has a total of 19 slides. Stunning real-world pictures of animals are used in every slide.
