Description
This is a set of digital task cards that allows students to work with the Friends of Ten in an engaging, fun way. Students will use missing addends and missing subtrahend algorithms to solve the problems. Because this is a difficult skill, I've provided the Jelly Beans as manipulatives for the students. They can drag and count to easily come up with the correct answer. Each slide has a voice recording for students who have difficulty reading. There is also a video recording of the directions for the addition and for the subtraction task cards. There are 24 task cards in all. 12 Addition __ + 7 = 10 and 3 + __ = 10 12 Subtraction 10 - __ = 7 and 10 - 3 = __ The math facts only encompass with the ways to make 10. What a great way to introduce your students to the higher order thinking of missing addend and missing subtrahend since they should already be familiar with these facts.
