Back to School Rhythm Review: This Boom deck is the perfect way to review quarter notes, quarter rest, and beamed eighth notes at the beginning of the new school year. School supplies provide the spoken rhythms and iconic notation for this scaffolded 12-card deck. Simplify your back to school lesson planning by leading the whole class through this deck as a group, or assign individually at any time of the year to assess your students. The deck contains guided practice and review and is structured from basic to complex. -- Practice: Speak the school supply words (sound samples included for pre-readers). -- Identify: Match each school supply to the corresponding rhythm by clicking the correct answer (two choices provided). -- Match: Drag and drop each of the 4 pictures to the correct rhythm (must choose among all 4 rhythms) -- Compose: Use drag and drop to place each of the 4 school supplies in any order into separate backpacks to create original rhythms to clap and speak! This slide is repeated for multiple composition opportunities.
