Description
Celebrate Chinese New Year in your special education class, or math centers, using the beautiful self-correcting cards. These are also great for daily practice. Who doesn't love Chinese food? This is an alternative for kids who struggle with the Next Dollar method, and transfers into what we experience during our community-based instruction outings. My students come with $5's, $20', and $20's when we go out into the community, so this is a great way to practice making purchases using what they usually bring. These contain whole dollar amounts. I teach my students to use the smallest bill possible. So there are several that give an incorrect response for the larger bill. Students hear a “ding” for a correct response, and “oops” for incorrect response.
