Description: With this deck, students will learn 10 tier 2 vocabulary words using a variety of learning experiences. Research shows that in order to learn new words, students must first be familiar with the sound of the word. For each word, students are presented with tasks involving: phonological awareness, spelling, understanding of definitions, and connection to their own personal experiences and opinions. There are also two quizzes included to check comprehension, one after each set of 5 words. The interactive features of this deck will keep students engaged and motivated. For each vocabulary word, a sound clip is available at the top of each page to hear proper pronunciation.
