This game gives your students practice in making 10 in addition equations. There are 10 cards with the first number missing in the addition equation and 10 cards with the second number missing. Students can use their own methods to fill in the missing numbers, such as counting on from the number of ladybugs on the flowers or some students may use the opposite sign and take away from 10 to find the missing number. Optional: Students can move the required number ladybugs onto the flower to help them find the missing numbers or mentally work it out. Students will learn or review: - Which two numbers make 10 - Enhance number sense, e.g. recognize patterns - Addition can be done in any order - Lays the foundation for learning numbers to 100, e.g. if 6 + 4 = 10 then 60 + 40 = 100. Students will become confident when adding 3 numbers, if they know that two numbers make 10 and then count on the third number. Have fun!:)
