This Boom Card deck is great for speech and language students, special education students, or any student working on social-emotional coping strategies and communication skills. It contains problem-solving scenarios including the emotions involved, communication choices, and coping strategies. This deck is intended for helping students imagine various scenarios (e.g. "It's your birthday," "Your teacher is talking a lot," etc.) and the emotions that may arise in these situations, as well as increase their ability to communicate their needs or get assistance in those scenarios. Designed to foster awareness of feelings and help students problem-solve and communicate, students choose from a variety of choices for emotions, what they could say in the given situation, strategies for coping and getting help, as well as adding their own thoughts or statements. This deck may not be appropriate for all students. Take into consideration individual personalities and circumstances when using these materials. This is not a self-graded deck.
