Description: CCSS K.CC.A.1, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.4a, K.CC.B.5, 1.NBT.A.1 Kindergarten and/or first-grade students can develop their number sense with this number match Boom deck. Primary students match numbers to a quantity. K and/or 1st graders are shown a number representation and three numbers. They must pick the number that matches the quantity of the number representation. The number representations include fingers, dice, arrays (colorful shapes), popsicle sticks, dominoes, and cubes. The numbers range from 2 to 10. This deck has a cute zoo theme. This deck can certainly be used by individual students but it also can be used whole group to review number quantities and addition. Pull the deck up on your Smartboard or Interactive TV. Have students quickly name the quantity of the number representation to develop their subitizing skills. Another option is to have students write addition sentences for the task cards. I like to give my students a dry erase board for this activity. After students have written an addition sentence, I then extend the activity and ask them to show me a different addition sentence with the same sum. This deck contains 20 task cards. Audio directions are provided. This deck is part of an endless bundle - Number Sense and Basic Computation.
