Description

With this social emotional learning resource, teach your middle and high schoolers problem solving skills using conditional if/then statements. They will be led through a series of exercises that involve scenarios with positive and negative situational outcomes. Then, your students will be required to analyze and reflect on the wording of scenarios that may have either a positive or negative outcome based on specific modals (may, might, will, would, can, could, should). Metacognitive strategies of prior knowledge, self-reflection, self-questioning, and written responses are embedded within this resource. As with any mediated learning, it is best to prompt your student about why he/she responded in a certain way and discuss reasons for answers. Boomâ„¢ is the trademark of Boom Learning.
