Being able to respond to children when they say mean things can be a tricky skill to develop. The following Boom™ Cards provide students a chance to look at a quick scenario that sets the scene & then decide on which comeback they should say to deal with the situation. Students are presented with a 1-2 sentence scenario & picture. They can choose from 3 answers which one they think is the best comeback to say. The student should look for a comeback that discourages the mean behaviour. If correct the question will circle with green. If wrong it will circle/cross out with red & give the student another chance to answer until they find the correct response.
