Description
Build comprehension skills while learning about the heroes in our own backyard! This product contains a simple introduction to the 5 branches of the military - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. Each page contains a veteran in uniform, along with vehicles, clothing, and other items specific to their job. Also included are 13 pages of 'Who,' 'What' and 'Where' choice questions related to the introduction pages. For example, "Who might drive a submarine?" "If you were in the Navy, where might you work?" A bonus matching page is also included. Match each veteran to their vehicle! This interactive learning activity was inspired by the book, "Veterans Heroes in Our Neighborhood," however the story is not necessary to complete the activity. I hope you and your student enjoy!
