Let's take the pressure off multiplication table quizzes... I shared this deck with my parents (students' parents) and they can practice at home.... on Fridays I have a 5-minute "exercise" and they answer as many as possible. Each kid writes down how many they got correct in 5 minutes (I also write this from my report, and we compare results each Friday, seeing a lot of improvement). I do not grade this, but we do celebrate progress a lot, it has been definitely good. As a teacher, I know how important is for the kids to recall their math facts with automaticity... this is a life-long useful skill...often neglected, who has the time?
