Description: This deck includes 10 cards where students will practice counting by tens within 100 (using base ten blocks). On each card, students will count the number of ten sticks and fill in the first blank (e.g. 8 tens). Then students will count by tens to determine how many blocks there are in all (e.g. 8 tens is 80). On each card there are written and audio directions. This is a fun way for young learners to practice counting by tens! CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.NBT.B.2.C The numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine tens (and 0 ones). CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.NBT.B.2.A 10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones — called a "ten." CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.NBT.A.2 Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.NBT.A.3 Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
