This is a 35-card scavenger hunt that can be used to teach students about the Native Americans who were forced from their homelands by the U. S. government and traveled the Trail of Tears to be relocated in the west. In this digital scavenger hunt students will learn which tribes used the Trail of Tears, why the Cherokee are the most talked about tribe when discussing the Trail of Tears even though they were only one nation that traveled on it, why white settlers wanted their lands, and more. Students receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. It can be used as a Native American Heritage month activity, to supplement a study of American history or Native Americans, to enhance the understanding of a story, or practice for reading informational text.
