Description
Let your students practice evaluating algebraic expressions using this 12-card deck. Each card requires students to substitute the correct values of variables (drag-and-drop) before they evaluate the algebraic expression. Students will then type in the correct answer in the space provided. This deck uses positive and negative integers so students should know the rules of the four operations of signed numbers and the correct order of operations in order to complete the activity. Cards are divided as follows: Cards 1-4: single-variable expressions, with parentheses and/or exponent Cards 5-8: two variable expressions, with parentheses and/or exponent Cards 10-12: three-variable expressions, with parentheses, exponent, and/or fractions Cards are arranged in increasing difficulty and will appear in the same order each play.
