Cvc words are segmented into sounds by the slow sloth. As soon as the card turns, the word sounds are said. The student must blend the sounds and click on the picture to match. The 38 cards and pictures are randomized so it's a new game each time it is played. This phonemic awareness skill is a "must be practiced" skill for all beginning readers.
