Description: This 28-card deck is a great way to help your algebra students learn how to add and subtract radical expressions (square roots only). The cards in this deck increase in difficulty to help students understand each step of the process. The first few cards show how adding and subtracting radicals is similar to the process of combining like terms. By the end of the deck, students must be able to simplify each term before adding or subtracting and must also recognize that you cannot add or subtract radical expressions with different radicands.
