Description
This deck contains a set of 20 different actions including 3-4 different representations of each action as a combination of drawings and photos for generalization purposes. It is a receptive activity perfect for early learners or for learners using non-vocal communication such as sign language or an AAC device. Actions include: Walking, running, driving, kicking, hugging, sleeping, throwing, catching, writing, reading, swimming, playing, dancing, brushing hair, brushing teeth, eating, drinking, jumping, cleaning, crying. This activity is a receptive goal, so your learner will select the correct action in a field of four different actions. I have included a mishmosh of photos, icons, and cartoons for generalization purposes. Model and pretend to do these actions when first teaching. Take every opportunity while working on this together to expose your learner to language! Have your learner echo your word or phrase, or simply expand on what you see in the photo. Have fun! -Liz
