Description: Use these Synonym and Antonym cards to practice synonyms and antonyms that can replace a word in a story. Students read the scenario and find the underlined word. Using context clues and understanding of the text, they find a synonym and antonym for the word from the word bank. They drag the correct word to the boxes. When working one-on-one with a student, you can take the activity further by asking if they can think of any other synonyms or antonyms for the underlined word. You can also ask them to use their words in an appropriate sentence.
