Description: Need a fun resource for reviewing place value of 4-digit numbers? Want to practice the different ways place value can be shown? Come and check out this deck. You can use this deck either to round up your place value unit in 3rd grade or as a quick review at the beginning of the year or before you move onto the next level of place value activities in 4th grade. Your students will use their knowledge about the place value of 4-digit numbers to reveal a piece of their mystery picture on each card. 1. Mystery Number Students are given clues for the individual digits. They have to use their knowledge about the 4 basic operations. Good idea to have a piece of paper and a pen/pencil to write the digits as they are not coming always in order to make the cards more challenging and to make sure students pay attention. 2. Base 10 Blocks Students write the numeral form for their numbers, shown by base 10 blocks. 3. Underlined Digit Students will show the place value of the underlined digit by clicking on the correct answer. 4. Expanded Form Students are shown a number in its expanded form. They have to write the numeral form in the box provided. Numbers are NOT aligned to make the card more challenging and make sure students pay attention. PLEASE NOTE: NUMBERS ON THE CARDS HAVE A COMMA AFTER THE 1000s DIGIT. HOWEVER, THE ACCEPTABLE ANSWERS CAN BE WITH OR WITHOUT A COMMA.
