Description

BUNDLE AVAILABLE! Crack the Code is a morphology-based reading intervention designed to help struggling readers build confidence and independence when analyzing unfamiliar words. Students learn to recognize meaningful word parts, determine word meanings, and strengthen vocabulary rather than relying on memorization. Through short, manageable lessons, students engage in explicit instruction, guided practice, and independent application using the I Do, We Do, You Do approach. Skills are intentionally reviewed from week to week. As new prefixes and suffixes are introduced, previously taught word parts are incorporated into subsequent lessons, providing ongoing spiral review, reinforcement, and opportunities to apply skills over time. Designed for upper elementary and middle school learners, Crack the Code provides age-respectful, accessible instruction without sacrificing rigor. Each daily deck includes: Explicit, student-friendly instruction Morphology and word-analysis strategies Guided practice (I Do, We Do) Independent practice (You Do) Cumulative review of previously taught skills Each deck can stand alone or be used as part of the systematic, skill-building series. The weekly bundle includes four instructional decks and a cumulative assessment.
