Description: Decodable readers are a great way to build student confidence in reading. This decodable story has sh digraph words and some sight words. The first slide contains digraph words and sight words that appear in the text. Words are considered sight words if the phonics skill has not yet been taught, or if the word does not follow a set phonics skill. My Shop comes after The Path and The Lock decodables and may have some th and ck digraphs. The digraph decodables come after the short vowel decodables and use some short a, i, e, o and u words. This can be read individually, with a partner or, with a teacher.
