This resource is meant to be paired with adorable storybook "Too Many Carrots" by Katy Hudson. I have removed the read aloud link due to copywrite laws but there are many great versions of this story available on YouTube. After listening/watching the story choose the target objective you would like your student(s) to work on and select it from the Table of Contents page. There are 5 activities included: 1. Character ID 2. 20 Wh/Story Comprehension Questions (field of 4 responses) 3. 5 Feed the Storybook Characters: Expanding word utterances- students will use the sentence starter "(animal) eats" then they can select a food to drag into the characters mouth. (each have have 5 foods to eat). All the animals are animated gifs! 4. 10 Sensory Bin: How many Carrots did you find? Numbers/Counting/Expanding Word Utterances- students will pull up foods from the sensory bin only counting the carrots. Then they will use the sentence starter "I found" while saying and clicking the correct number of carrots (field of 3). 5. 15 Animal Habitats: Vocabulary & Expanding Word Utterances- Students will use the sentence starter "I see" (animal) . After labeling the animal ask the student to label and drag the animal into its habitat. Animals included: bird, squirrel, rabbit, turtle, cow, monkey, goldfish (pet), penguin, bear, fish, polar bear, bat, koala, shark, and spider.
