Your students can practice beginning sounds with this deck of 26 Boom™ cards. On every card there is a large pencil with a letter on it and 3 crayon boxes with pictures. Which crayon box should the large pencil go into? The children help the pencil by matching the letter on it to the box with a picture that begins with that letter. The first two cards have complete directions as well as the names of the pictures. After those 2, the sound directions name the pictures. The children are not given the name of the letter! All 26 cards are presented in random order at each session but you can change that number in your library. A great activity for whole and small group instruction as well as individual practice at stations for kindergartners and as a refresher for first graders!
