The menu will work upon purchase, however. Describing past events is a goal that I find myself working on with students frequently! In order to be able to answer important social questions, such as "What did you do at school today?" or "How was the pool?", students need to be able to recall some details from events and put them to words. In this activity, students participate in a brief summer themed activity, such as making a sandcastle, or creating an ice cream cone. Each activity includes at least three fun steps, such as putting ingredients in a shopping cart before making an ice cream cone. Next, they are prompted to either describe what they did in an open-ended format, or, if they need more support, to use multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank sentences as prompts to help them understand how to describe an event. Because some elements of the activities can be done differently each time, you can use the same activity repeatedly without students simply memorizing answers. Please note that this activity does not self score and is designed primarily to be completed live while a therapist, teacher, or parent is working online with a student.
