Need a self-correcting activity to reinforce choosing between “was” and “were”. This resource consists of 20 self-correcting cards. For each card, the student will have a sentence to read with a blank space. The student then has an option of choosing “was” or “were’ to complete the sentence. The student will hear a “ding” for a correct response and an “oops” for an incorrect response. The card will not move on until the correct response is given. Supports have been added for struggling readers and ESL learners. They can click the speaker button to have the items read to them. The "was" and "were" speakers will say the sentence with the word in it.
