Description
This game gives your students practice in making 20 with missing numbers: number bonds to 20. There are 42 cards in total. Card 1 gives directions. There are 21 cards with the first number missing in the addition sum and 21 cards with the second number missing. Students can use their own methods to fill in the missing numbers, such as counting on from the number of marbles in the bag, or some students may use the opposite sign and take away from 20 to find the missing number. Optional: Students can move the required number marbles from the container of marbles to the empty bag provided to help them find the missing numbers or mentally work it out. Students will learn or review: • Which two numbers make 20 • Enhance number sense, e.g. relationship between numbers • Whole numbers can be split into parts The cards are randomized and so the cards will appear in a different order each time this deck is played.
