Description: This beginning sound activity is perfect for your literacy stations or whole group instruction, especially during your apple thematic unit! There are 26 Boom™ cards, one for each letter of the alphabet. The sound directions ask the child to find the apple with a picture that begins with the letter on the empty basket. They then drag the apple into the basket and click on submit to check their work. The sound directions on every card name the pictures on the apples but the children must read the letter themselves to know which sound they are looking for. All 26 cards are presented in each session to the students but you can change that number in your library. Great for beginning students or use as a review for incoming first graders! Use it at large group time or for individual practice.
