Description

This is a 39-card scavenger hunt that can be used to teach students about the Native Americans who lived in the Eastern Woodlands region of the United States. In this hunt students will learn how this region was divided into two main groups (the Northeastern Woodlands and the Southeastern Woodlands), how their belief in animism impacted the way they lived, what activities the men, women, and children did, and more. To complete the hunt, students read a multiple-choice question. Then they read a passage to find the answer to the question. Students receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. It can be used as a supplement to a study of Native Americans, to enhance the understanding of a story, or practice for reading informational text.
