Description: This deck focuses on distinguishing between main idea and detail statements. There are 10 nonfiction passages included. After reading each passage, students must determine which of 3 given statements is the main idea and which are details. Speech-language pathologists or teachers may also choose to read the passage aloud to students and focus on any new vocabulary words before then completing the activity. Example IEP Goal: After listening to a short nonfiction text, student will accurately distinguish between given main idea and detail statements.
