Description
This is an interactive activity to go with the book Dear Zoo. First, students are provided with a visual that says "open." Students are able to press the microphone button below the word open and can hear the clinician produce the word "open." Students are asked to open the box to see what is behind it. On the next slide, students are presented with the animal that was in the box and asked the WH question "what color is the _____?" Students are provided with a visual sentence starter "the ____ is (color)" to help formulate a full sentence. This helps students produce sentences such as "the elephant is grey." Some of the following IEP Goals can be targeted during this activity - WH Questions - Core Word OPEN - Expanding Utterances and Increasing MLU - Describing (e.g. colors, attributes, etc.)
