Description: The ability to manipulate syllables is an essential pre-reading skill. Students must first learn to divide words into syllables (segmentation syllabique) to eventually be able to decode big words when they start to read. This interactive resource is not only perfect for little ones in the beginning stages of phonological awareness, but it will allow them to master the skill. This deck includes words between 1 and 4 syllables. It can be used for small group instruction/assessment, literacy center or homework! This deck included the same words as the following deck: French Boom Cards™ Syllable Counting version 1. In the 'version 1', students aren't required to count the syllables; they simply divide the word. In this version, students have to count the syllables to be able to answer.
