Description: Creative Writing Trios #4 is a collection of full-color photographs and words to motivate your more reluctant writers who have trouble getting started. Each Boom Card presents three photos with words that students can incorporate into their stories. Students scroll through all the cards by clicking the green NEXT button.They select the card that they think would be fun to write about. Mysteries, humor, nature, sports, adventure, friendship, and more are all topics covered in the photos. Students write on a separate sheet of paper and underline the three or more words they used that were on the Boom Card they selected. Encourage your students to illustrate their finished stories. The last five Boom Cards are Creative Writing Guidelines. They offer tips such as the importance of writing a hook to grab a reader's attention, how to vary the structure of sentences, how to avoid redundant words, and lots more ideas to improve writing skills. Once students select the Boom Card they want to use, they scroll down to the guidelines and read them before they start to write.
