Description
This is an e-book for the Five Little Pumpkins. This is a great story for primary learners and English learners. This was originally made for E.S.O.L. (or ELL) students. They enjoyed the rhyming text and related pictures, so they were easily able to gather new vocabulary from this text. This was the sequence I used: 1. read the text to the them, 2. review the words and images, 3. read and the students repeated, 4. the students read the text to me and we talked about the text (as much as possible), 5. we created sentences (oral) with the various vocabulary, 6. the students reread the text on their own. Please note: the students were allowed to read the text on their own from the beginning, but some students choose to wait to the end while others read and reread it after each step above. Most choose to read it after each step. ;)
