Description
Excellent resource for teaching students about heat energy and how it is transferred! Resource begins with an overview of the lesson before diving into what heat or thermal energy is. Next, the three different types of heat transfers are given with plenty of colorful pictures for a deeper understanding. Next, several cards give students plenty of practice identifying the three different types of heat transfer as students choose the correct pictures and statements about each type. Students then watch a 5 minute video about igloos and how these icy structures use heat transfer to keep in just enough warmth. Finally, students are challenged to create their own igloo using over 100 building blocks.
