Description

This deck gives students practice interpreting data displayed in different types of scaled graphs. This is primarily a math activity, but also helps students understand and use graphs they may encounter within informational text (text features). There are 8 graphs in this deck. Each graph has 4 cards with questions about the data. Most of the questions are either self-checking multiple-choice or self-checking fill-in-the-blank. Some cards "allow ink" so students can work out their answers when needed. Audio is included so students can hear the questions read-aloud if needed. These activities are most appropriate for 4th and 5th grade. 3rd graders will be able to complete most of the cards, but there are a few you may not want to assign because of the difficulty level. Please be sure to review the questions before assigning in grade 3. A set of printable companion worksheets are available in my Boom store. These extra pages ask students to created another type of graph using the same data presented in this deck.
