Description
This is a continuation in practicing Regrouping. This deck uses a number line in addition instead of base ten blocks. The deck takes students into the step of trading using expanding/stretching to separate tens and ones or hundreds and tens swapping one set for another of similar value. Students need to understand what the number 1 represents when trading takes place. Often this is a misconception and when students are asked to add, the one ten traded is seen as the unit one or hundreds is mistaken as tens without a connection as a group of ten or hundred. This deck is being created with students with Autism in mind who are currently at this functional level.
