Description: In this activity, students will select the correct present tense of the verb to be in Spanish (ser and estar), using the context clues of the sentence to be completed. The objective is for students to practice when to you use ser (what something is in its permanent state) and when you use estar (how something is in a temporary state). This version of the activity, level 1, includes audio for all directions, sentence to be completed, as well as both options, as an additional support for your beginner students. For a more challenging activity, purchase levels 2 or 3 designed for students who are already able to read in Spanish. This is an ideal activity for students learning to conjugate verbs in Spanish.
