Core Vocabulary Word: LOOK Speech/Language Therapy AAC Teletherapy Social Skills/Commenting Activity accompanies the book "No, Silly-Willy" (eBOOK/Audio version is available in my BOOM store...But, the book is NOT required for this activity. The Deck Includes: • Fill in core word drop box per card for the core word LOOK • Symbolic picture representations of the core word & text...LOOK ---Pictured vocabulary targets from the book This deck targets the use of the core word LOOK, paired with a simple sentence, and pictured vocabulary from the book. What students will see, hear, and do: After looking at the familiar picture of vocabulary word targets from the book on each card, students drag and drop the word LOOK to the box that begins each sentence, and then says the entire sentence, including that core word LOOK, that begins each sentence. Each card has an AUDIO of the full sentence available for children who need that. Other potential extended goal opportunities, based upon the teacher/SLP discretion, could include: a) Identifying and/or labeling the pictured vocabulary. b) Identifying and/or labeling category i.e. "Find the ____ ." or What is a/an ___?. c) Imitating sentence forms i.e SLP/teacher says then student imitates d) Sight word & reading practice Deck Can Help Develop: • Social Skills i.e. commenting on pictures • Expressive language • Vocabulary • Sight word practice/Reading
