Compatible with UFLI Foundations Lesson 35a of 75 Decks Sounds covered in this deck: short a Interactive Word-Building Practice This interactive Boom Card deck provides students with hands-on practice building and manipulating words while reinforcing the phonics skills taught in UFLI Foundations. Students will drag letters into place to build words, then add, change, or move letters to create new words. This interactive approach gives students meaningful practice with sound-letter relationships, decoding, and word building. It is self-correcting, students cannot move onto the next slide until they get the correct answer. These BOOM cards can take the place of using the letter tiles or magnetic letters. The first slide includes the words that correspond with the UFLI Foundations book that are needed to guide the activity, making it easy to use with your class. This interactive activity helps students build confidence as they build, manipulate, decode, and read words. Please note: This resource was created independently to complement UFLI Foundations. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI) or its publishers.
