Description
Students are presented with community helpers from the book "Snowman At Work." Students are asked the question "who is it." Students are provided with the sentence starter "It is a ______. Students are asked to drag and drop the correct community helper to fill in the place space in the sentence. Students are provided with 3 visual choices to fill in the sentence. This helps students expand their utterances. For example, students can formulate sentences such as "It is a doctor." The following community helpers are targeted during this activity: - Painter - Police Officer - Doctor - Magician - Dentist - Firefighter - Builder - Chef - Basketball Player - Mechanic - Teacher - Scientist Some of the following IEP goals can be targeted during this activity: - Identifying and labeling community helpers - WH Questions - Expanding Utterances and increasing MLU
