Description: Students will practice manipulating common suffixes -en, -ing and contraction n't on simple bases with U/OO/OUL (put, wood, could) *this deck is a departure from other decks since it includes a contraction in the suffix space, so I have adjusted some colors to reflect that change. Many students have trouble distinguishing -en, n't, and -ing, so this deck is designed to work on that distinction! Next, students will spell 6 words with similar U/OO/OUL words and the same suffixes/contraction Students can move a barrier to "check the board" if they are unsure, building metacognitive skills. Audio on each slide, including the spelling words and sentences to tie in meaning.
