Description: This is a free sample of the What's in the Bag? game. The full version has at least 30 rounds, each with a bonus play scene. It is here (copy and paste this in your browser): https://wow.boomlearning.com/deck/q-9DiPfeXZS2NWLH7ue?ref=2 It is 200 points! Students are often asked to define or describe, but they less often get to see this skill modeled.. With this game, students will begin to understand the structure of a description or definition. When they do, a simple extension of this game can be played in real life in small groups or with the class. In that case, a student will put something in a bag and then offer hints until someone guesses what they are talking about. The images are layered so you must follow the order of: removing hint from the bag, reading it while you are holding it or placing it on the orange rectangle area. Then it must go in the discard bin so that the next item will not "fall" behind it. You can pull all of the cards out and then pull out the described item, or you can guess along the way by saying the answer out loud or typing it in the box. You can check to see if you are correct by typing your answer and clicking "submit" or hitting "enter" (sometimes, glitchy). Confirm by removing the last item from the bag. Click "bonus play" to go to a card where the featured word is movable in a simple scene, for reinforcement. Thank you for your feedback. I updated playground so that "park" is also correct.
